Recently, a delegation of key customers from Cameroon visited Fudeng, aiming to conduct on-site inspections of Sinotruk’s flagship truck models and finalize procurement agreements. This visit not only deepened the Cameroonian customers’ understanding of Sinotruk’s product strength but also laid a solid foundation for long-term cooperation between both parties in the Cameroonian commercial vehicle market.
The Cameroonian delegation kicked off their visit with a tour of HOWO’s integrated production and exhibition center, where Sinotruk’s core product lineup was on display. Guided by Fudeng’s technical team, the customers focused on inspecting models tailored for African markets, including the HOWO NX tractor and HOWO 6X4 dump truck . The technical team highlighted that these models integrate European advanced technology with over 20 years of Sinotruk’s experience in the African market, featuring dual-technology powertrains and reinforced suspensions to withstand harsh working environments such as construction sites and mines .
During the test drive session, the customers experienced the vehicles’ performance firsthand. The HOWO 6X4 dump truck, equipped with a Hyva dumping system, completed cargo unloading efficiently, impressing the delegation with its operational efficiency. “Our country’s infrastructure projects are booming, and such reliable heavy-duty trucks will significantly boost our logistics productivity,” Mr. Dieudonné added.
In the subsequent business talks, the Cameroonian delegation detailed their procurement needs: 30 units of heavy-duty trucks, mainly for logistics and infrastructure construction projects. This demand aligns perfectly with the growth trend of Cameroon’s commercial vehicle market, which is driven by ongoing infrastructure investments and expanding logistics needs .
As a key transportation hub connecting northern and southern Africa, Cameroon has become a strategic market for Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturers . Sinotruk, with its products sold in over 110 countries and a 48% share of China’s heavy truck exports , has already built a solid reputation in Cameroon through its cost-effectiveness and reliable performance.
Mr. Dieudonné stated, “Chinese brands like Sinotruk have won the trust of local customers. This visit to Fudeng has further confirmed our choice—we look forward to long-term cooperation.” For Fudeng, this procurement agreement marks a new step in expanding its presence in Central Africa. This cooperation not only reflects the strong appeal of Sinotruk’s “Africa-adapted” products but also embodies the win-win spirit of international cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. As more Chinese high-quality trucks enter Cameroon, they will inject strong momentum into the country’s economic development and infrastructure construction.
